Tom Breed - Acting Head of Wellbeing Programs, St Joseph's College Geelong
“Nick’s story is so relatable for young people. He spoke so openly and demonstrated his vulnerabilities which was really powerful and engaging for the students. Nick shows great empathy for young people and the challenges that they face regarding gambling and peer pressure. He was fantastic with our year 11 cohort and we would love for him speak to more of our students in the future”

Shannon Cunningham - VM Coordinator, Iona College Geelong
Iona College had the privilege of hearing Nick speak openly about his personal journey through gambling addiction and recovery. His honesty and courage in sharing such a difficult experience made a powerful impact on everyone in the room.
Through Nick’s story, we gained a deeper understanding of how gambling can affect not only the individual but also their relationships, finances and mental health. Nick’s message about resilience, self-awareness and seeking help was both moving and inspiring.
Students were deeply engaged throughout the session and reflected on the importance of making responsible choices and supporting others who may be struggling. This presentation was an eye-opening and valuable part of our learning, encouraging empathy, understanding and hope for recovery.
